We're trying to find a place right on the Amalfi coast to get married. We'd love a place thats got lots of character, not too formal and ideally can fit around 80 people. It would also be great if there is around 40 rooms that we could hire out so our guests could stay in (or apartments to rent nearby for example). I realise I've been very picky, but If you've got any suggestions it would be much appreciated!!!Wedding venue ON the Amalfi Coast?
There are dozens of options for you but far too many to list here. Call the 5 most expensive hotels along the coast to get their vendor lists. Call at least 5 local planner/coordinators and pick their brain about options. Dangle the chance to book your wedding as bait to get their recommendations. If you come across a planner you really like, you can always book them and you may need it for this. Ask about city square areas, special halls and romantic town areas tucked into hidden areas. Install SKYPE on your computer to video conference with these people free. It will be easier if you can see each other and will feel like an in person meeting. Lastly: If your budget allows and there is room to land, hire a helicopter to make your exit. The Amalfi coast is stunning by air and you will love flying up/down the cliffs and shoreline with an icy bottle of champagne after "I Do". Take your photographer with you on this ride to get awesome pictures. Have them fly over Pompeii as well. It is amazing from the air and will make visiting on the ground more interesting. Helicopter rentals are available at the airport.
