Planning a trip to Rome, Italy in January and would like suggestions on day tours and tours to Pompeii area?

Texans in Rome staying at Marriott Flora, and looking for restaurants and tours to Pompeii and Amalfi coastPlanning a trip to Rome, Italy in January and would like suggestions on day tours and tours to Pompeii area?
I have booked a Rome Tour with tours4fun and had an unforgettable tour. The price is quite reasonable, and the whole tour is filled with fun. I stayed 4 days in Rome and visited many famous places like St. Peter's Square and Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

Here's the tour I took:

bye:-)
beware to pickpockets!
pompeii and the amalfi coast are not near rome, they are near naples and that is 2 hours south of rome.

dont take a tour, that will be expensive and comically touristic. get a train from rome's termini station, the biggest in italy, and go to naples, you can also try salerno, a city south of naples. but really the beach wont look that nice in january, it will probably be raining..
