I am going to Italy soon & staying with family. I was wondering if there are any 2-3 day tours around Naples?

or around Rome, Capri, Amalfi Coast? any suggestions?????I am going to Italy soon %26amp; staying with family. I was wondering if there are any 2-3 day tours around Naples?
There are lots of possibilities for things you can see on your own in the area. Certainly from Naples one of the highlights is Pompeii and Herculaneum. These are easily and cheaply accessible by taking the Circumvesuviana train from Naples toward Sorrento. The Pompei - Scavi and Erculano - Scavi stops are a short walk from the ruins. There's a trip planner here: http://www.vesuviana.it/web/it/homepage You can also easily take the same train to the end of the line to Sorrento. From there, you could go on to see some of the other towns along the Amalfi Coast by bus or boat.

Capri is easy to get to and very worth a day. Go to the port of Molo Beverello in Naples and take the boat. Capri info %26amp; ferry schedules: http://www.capri.net/en/ship-timetable

You can also go up Mt Vesuvius.

There are tours for things like this if that's what you want: http://www.viator.com/tours/Naples/Mt-Ve鈥?/a> , http://www.capritime.com/en/vesuvius-tou鈥?/a> , http://www.too-to-train.com/BA0EA71C30F0鈥?/a>

Of course, there are all the things to see in Naples as well.I am going to Italy soon %26amp; staying with family. I was wondering if there are any 2-3 day tours around Naples?
If you want to spend 2-3 days in another area I would recommend Sorrento or the smaller towns of Positano or Ravello on the peninsula. This area is very beautiful and will give you a nice contrast to the bustiling city of Napoli. We stayed in Sant'Angello which is less touristy and cheaper than Sorrento, but an easy 10 minute walk to everything Sorrento has to offer and easy bus rides to Ravello and Positano on the other side of the peninsula. Have fun!
