Hello! Grand Wailea Resort has a "Hibiscus Pool", which is reserved for adults only, and a collection of pools known as the "Wailea Canyon Activity Pool". The Wailea Pool is the one you will want to check out. It's made up of nine smaller pools at six levels, which begin at 40 feet and drop down to sea level, and are connected by a river that carries swimmers along at varying speeds, from whitewater rapids to lazy currents.
The "Infant Pool", one of the smaller pools in the Wailea Canyon Activity Pool, should be the good choice for your son. There is a small baby beach next to it, which is nice. In general, the pools there are gorgeous!

We stayed at the Grand in June. Went with our 3.5 and 2 yr old. There is a man made baby beach, perfect. Also, behind Camp Grande, there is a secret 1 foot pool shaped like a whale that NO ONE goes to. We had a great nanny, email me if you need more info.
