the most inexpensive way to marry in positano is to go to the register's office for a civil ceremony. they are located in a pretty little building on top of the hill and have an outdoor terrace where they will do the ceremony. you can even decorate it a little if you wish. it is a fantastic view. and you can put in your own vows etc.
you will need to contact the registry office in positano to inquire about the cost of the license and performing the ceremony, which they will do in english. you will need to have all the proper papers as well, which is what will probably cost the most...getting all of that together and translated into italian.
positano weddings are lovely. you should do the walk through the town dressed in your bridal clothes. people will come out to wish you well and will even follow you to view the ceremony if you wish it.
