I could only find one photo on the web that actually shows the street in front of the hotel. http://www.smithequity.com/pics/hyatt-wa鈥?/a>
Although they are hard to see in this picture, it looks like they are probably coconut palms, Cocos nucifera, which have a long trunk growing up to 80 feet tall, with the palm fronds only at the very top of the trees. http://www.hawaiianoasis.com/photos/palm鈥?/a>
The hotel website has many pictures of the trees on the grounds, but not of the trees lining the street out front. http://www.grandwailea.com/gallery/
Hope this helps.I'm looking for the name of the trees that line the street in front of the Grand Wailea in Maui?
If they are like the ones in Florida they are Washingtonian Palms. If not, I don't know.I'm looking for the name of the trees that line the street in front of the Grand Wailea in Maui?
I don't know about the Grand Wailea but my favorite place in the whole world is the world's largest Wandering Banyan Tree in Liheina Maui. They have them all over the islands. They're the trees where the branches grow from the top down and take root once they've reached the ground. I don't know if this is the tree you're looking for but, since they're very popular in Maui, I thought I'd try to be helpful.
