We're not used to staying in luxury hotels, so we won't be too hard to please. We do, however, want to make sure that we spend the big bucks on a nice place. We especially don't want to walk into one of the other two hotels when we get there and think "man we should have stayed here". We'll be there the first week of May.
Here's what we're looking for: oceanfront rooms that are comfortable and clean, not too loud/crowded (don't know if that matters in the first week of May), friendly staff, chairs available at the pool/beach, and great fruity beverages! I'm sure all those seemed obvious, but I just wanted to reinforce.
Altogether, we just want a pleasant, semi-quiet honeymoon at a nicer hotel than we're used to. :)
Any help would be fantastic!May Honeymoon in Wailea, Maui - where to stay?
The Grand Wailea is amazing! I'm not sure if there are oceanfront rooms available, but there is a private beach right outside the hotel, with chairs, umbrellas, and plenty of cabana areas by the wide variety of pools. They have adult pools, kid pools, hot tubs, grottos, and swim up bars. The room was absolutely perfect with an amazing view from the balcony. The hotel has an open air atmosphere and was very peaceful. Congratulations and have a good time no matter where you stay!
Grand Wailea and the fairmont are both BEAUTIFUL! Not sure about hte Four Seasons. In general, Wailea is a really nice area of Maui. Any of these would be a good choice. Google all and look at rooms online
All of them should on hte coast. The Fairmont has a killer pool, adn its a great place to watch the sunset. My husband and I watched hte sunset from there on out honeymoon.May Honeymoon in Wailea, Maui - where to stay?
Kauai is quieter,,,,too many folks go to Maui cause they realise that Oahu is a moko local dump run by tourist traps. mainly inhabited by haoles is Maui, at least youll only see a portion of homelessness and drug use compared to Oahu.
