Which resort on the Amalfi coast was your favourite and why?

Planning on going there in July. Been to Sorrento briefly before and it was a bit like Blackpool, like something nice for couples but only staying 1 night I think.Which resort on the Amalfi coast was your favourite and why?
OMG you must, must stay at the HOTEL CETUS it's a four star hotel, in CETARA. The view is out of this world and it is built in a mountain. They are all very friendly and helpful. The service and the hotel is clean and they have a private beach. Each room is decorated slightly different with beautiful marble and southern Italian painted tiles. You can see Salerno across the bay out of your private balcony. The views are spectacular! Breakfast is included and they offer outside dining with a full bar. If you decide to go there tell the owner , La Signora Maria Catino, you got this info from "La sorrella di Mimi" , you might get even better treatment!

i live not far from la costiera amalfitana..Which resort on the Amalfi coast was your favourite and why?
As a base I鈥檇 take Ravello for the size of the town and quality of the concerts (Ravello Festival), although Positano also has a pleasant programme. The entire coast is worth visiting but Amalfi and Positano are tops for the folklore and the beach. Been there often both for business (Sociology Convention of Amalfi) and pleasure.
