Tips for visiting Amalfi coast, Italy?

Hi, is there anybody who could recommend best things to do whilst holidaying in the Amalfi coast? Also, would you say 7 nights there is too long? If so, what place would you recommend we split up our time in? I guess it would have to be a drivable distance from Naples.

Thanks!Tips for visiting Amalfi coast, Italy?
A week might be too long if you want to pack your days filled with activities. But if you wouldn't mind spending 3 days just lounging around, it's fine (and it's a nice place to lounge around).

The Amalfi coast is great. I recommend a boat trip to Capri (be sure to take a bus into the actual city). Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi are all wonderful cities to visit. If you visit Amalfi, be sure to take the bus up to Ravello...it's a nice village with an incredible view.

I recommend a trip to Pompeii. Yes, it's hot and dusty. But it's incredible. It's relatively cheap to hire a driver...and I bet you can enroll in a tour bus trip somewhere from the coast, which would be even cheaper.

If you want to be adventurous, stay a couple nights in Naples. It has great pizza and a couple of incredible museums. But beware of shady neighborhood and pick pocketers. Ischia, an island off the coast from Naples, is also suppose to be nice.

Rome is only a couple of hours from Naples and is easily accessible by train. Outside of Rome and the Amalfi Coast, there aren't many notable sites around Naples that I know of.Tips for visiting Amalfi coast, Italy?
Amalfi is nice, but I think that a week is a lot of time, if you are staying to rest, it's OK, you can have a lot of trips in the whereabouts, check with the Hotel: things to do vary almost every day.
