It is a stunning place with the most beautiful beaches and sea in Italy nearby (in my opinion!) It can be quite expensive, and I would advise you maybe to rent a car to visit the other towns along the amalfi coast and also to go to Salerno maybe for a night out as it is less expensive and full of people, restaurants and bars with a buzzing historical centre. I love that area! Also, if you like seafood, the food is amazing, and that whole region is great for pizza - look for signs saying "forno al legno" (wood oven) and you're guarunteed a pretty good pizza down there.
It is a good place..Near Naples..On the coast. The sea is good.The coast is rocky..but it is a port very famous..The city is old so cars cannot transit (pass throught)..It is very quite place...Many italian people choose this place for honey-moon...Look on internet..writing...Maiori..Minori..Cost鈥?Amalfitana..Amalfi....look the photo the wiew is wondrfull !

Amalfi coast is a must on your visit to Italy. every little village on the way is worth visiting. Also get a boat to Capri!
It's a wanderful place for the marvellous scenery, the sea, the beaches, the artistic heritage, the friendly people and the presence of many English speacking people, especially in the touristic places... Not far you can visit Rome... by car, train or coach.
hi!!!!! I'm Italian!!! i know Amalfi coast, because i live in Naples!!.... it s a beautiful place, there are a lot of tourists and it is a very famous place.... the only thing is that is an expensive city, but it's worth visit!!!! byeee!!!
It's beautiful. But a little expensive. One word of advice...traffic is very bad on weekends, especially Friday night and Sunday night.
