Hawaii or Caribbean? Need help deciding which one to take for a fall vacation!!?

Which is the better "beach vacation"? We are thinking about going to the Grand Wailea at Mauii, Atlantis in the Bahamas, or the Virgin Islands. We want super clear water, surfing, and snorkling. Anyone been to either of these? ThanksHawaii or Caribbean? Need help deciding which one to take for a fall vacation!!?

If you choose Hawaii, you gotta visit the other outer islands to really experience the clearest waters, snorkeling, etc. Oahu is overcrowded, overfished, polluted, etc
