Hi,
Myself and my boyfriend are planning to stay somewhere on the Amalfi Coast in a self catering villa for 1 week, (not yet booked - any suggestions would be great - we would NOT have a car) and I am trying to put a budget together. Could anyone give me some idea of the cost of eating out (booze included!) I can imagine it is failry expensive but just need to get an idea of how much we would need to take for 1 week. We would be eating out quite alot in the evening and we do like a drink! That really is where most of our money would go....
We are going in Novemeber
Also could anyone give me an idea of the temperature at this time of year?
Sorry thats more than 1 question!
Many thanks! How much will I need spending money for a week on the Amalfi Coast?
you don't mention where you are based %26amp; amalfi coast is large enough to make a difference-- unless you are by the bus stop, boat stop or train station you will want a car.....for that reason you would be better off staying near sorrento or a larger town rather than being in the country for easy access. eating out is not inexpensive, but variable as w/ any country. prices are comp to usa but the dollar is terrible.
you will need enough $$ to see sights such as pompeii, get to ishia %26amp; capri islands, museums etc %26amp; get around in general.. you won't be swimming very much in november...you can buy wonderful food %26amp; great inexpensive wines at the markets for your self catering villa.
take about 400 to be on the safe side but it is cheap to eat there :) av fun.How much will I need spending money for a week on the Amalfi Coast?
November is not the best period to stay in the Amalfi coast, as the weather is cool and relatively rainy.
Also, you want a car, as the public transportation is not efficient and you should move between the different villages.
You could opt for staying in some other place, like nearby Naples. It is just as beautiful and has museums and places you can enjoy with bad weather.
In terms of cost, it should not be too high. Say 30-40 Euros per night to sleep and 30 Euro per day to eat %26amp; travel for each of you.
