Name of the eurpean railway?

a friend and i are going to be backpacking through eurpoe this fall (it'll be cheaper and less crowded than the summer, we really want to interact with the people!). there was a website for the european railways that had 2 month unlimited passes that you could use throughout europe. could you let me know what website that was? it was not eurorail. thank you very much!Name of the eurpean railway?
You might have been thinking of Interrail. http://www.interrailnet.com/ However, they have a ticket for 1 continuous month, not two. Eurail http://www.eurail.com/ does offer two or three month passes.

The name of the ticket is EURORAIL.

Europe has MANY Rail companies and they cooperate with each other. You can buy a EuroRail ticket from any Main station in Europe.

Also I may suggest using Raynair (see link) that's even Cheaper if booked in advance.
Eurail pass is what you want.
there isn't ONE railway in Europe. Every country has their own system.

However, the question you REALLY want asked is about the pass. That is purchased through Raileurope.com. They have a HUGE list of different passes, including single country passes, and two-three country combos, as well as the Eurorail pass, which covers most, if not all of Europe, some water passages, and I think a couple of popular bus tours.

And it's unlimited. If you are looking for that pass, you will find it at raileurope.com. Apparently, other people know other sites that sell it, and I'm pretty sure you MUST buy it stateside, before you leave the country. If you were to wait, and buy it there, you MIGHT still be able to get an Interrail pass, but the rules are different, and with the dollar dropping, I don't think it's as good a buy as the Eurorail.
Try DB - or Deutsche Bundesbahn. They sell Euro rail passes of unlimited travel in Europe - for sure in Germany. They are fairly cheap.
They are called Eurail passes and you can buy them BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE US from any Travel Agency, for periods of 1 week to 6 months. You can not buy them once you get to Europe. You will also need to provide your passport number when you buy them.

The way they work is, when you get to Europe, you go into the railway office at whatever Station you plan to leave from and have the pass validated. DO NOT validate it until you are actually ready to leave because the time period of the pass BEGINS as soon as it's validated... so don't go in the day before you leave or you will lose a day.

Get a copy of the travel guide EUROPE BY EURAIL... and also a copy of COOK'S EURAIL TIMETABLE.. it is a good sized red and white book that has ALL of the train schedules and you will learn to live by those schedules, so keep that book hand as you travel.
The European and North American Railway (E%26amp;NA) is the name for three historic Canadian and American railways which were built in New Brunswick and Maine.

The idea of the E%26amp;NA as a single system was conceived at a railway conference in Portland, Maine in 1850 by railroad entrepreneur John A. Poor. The line was intended to link Portland (the eastern terminus of the US rail network) with an ice-free Atlantic port in Nova Scotia to connect with fast trans-Atlantic ships from Europe; the port at Halifax was discussed as a possible eastern terminus for the line, as was Canso.
