European Vacationi Itenirary HELP!!!?

We are interested in going to Europe for two weeks in 2012. I gather that it seems most efficient to use the eurorail? We are insterested in visitng Spain, Ireland, Prague, Greece, Italy, Russian and France. Any ideas on the best route and if the eurorail is the best decision?European Vacationi Itenirary HELP!!!?
I would personally fly from place to place using easyjet. When you take the eurorail the price adds up quit fast and you also loose time.
That is a lot to see in two weeks.

It is very efficient to travel by train, as long as you are staying in areas convenient to train stations.

In Ireland you are probably better off driving.

Obviously you can't get to Ireland by train from the continent!

My personal opinion for only 2 weeks is to pick 4 or five major cities and spend at least a couple of days in each.

For instance, Paris, the South of France, and the Burgundy region, and then either Spain (try to see Madrid, Seville, and maybe the NW coast of Spain.)

Or Italy, see Cinque Terre, Rome, Florence.

This all depends on your travel interests: Are you interested in scenery, historical sites, art, small villages, or what?

Draw up a list of the things you feel you MUST see, and narrow it down to the 4 or 5 top destinations, then pick 2 adjacent countries that contain those destinations.

If this is your first trip to Europe and you want to make sure you see as much as possible in such a short time, consider an organized tour.

There are all levels of prices and itineraries offered by the various travel companies and you do not have to be on a bus with 100 people.

Some good ones:

Globus, Rick Steves, Odyssey's Unlimited, Tauck.

Often it is cheaper to take an organized tour than to try to do it on your own.
