Cheapest places to stay in Nice, France?

My friend and I are looking at doing a small Europe vacation in Nice, France and also either Barcelona, Spain or Venice, Italy. Wondering what are the cheapest options for accommodations in Nice. Open to hostels as long as a private room is available.

Also, which is a cheaper train ride, from Nice to Barcelona or Nice to Venice? I tried looking it up on eurorail.com but I keep getting error messages!Cheapest places to stay in Nice, France?
i'm not sure whats the cheapest but i now what to do there.

you can go to this irish pub called checkpoint its near plasa mass茅na( everyone knows that place) and on fridays they have this party bus that takes you to clubs in monaco and it brings you ack at 4 am i think it only cost 29$ euros it might sound like a lot but it includes drinks all the way there and the entrance to the clubs its really worth it.

or you can go to high club, best club in nice also you can go to monaco, cannes, antibes, and ville franch fpr only 1 euro from the bus stop!Cheapest places to stay in Nice, France?
check out hostelworld.com and hostelbookers.com for the hostels...you can specifically request to view hostels with private rooms when you search. aside from couchsurfing, that would be your cheapest option.

if you're deciding between venice and barcelona, barcelona is DEFINITELY the better option. i backpacked through europe for 6 weeks and went to about 25 different cities while i was there (barcelona and venice included) and barcelona was by far my favorite. not that venice wasn't beautiful, but it's small and aside from the main sights of venice and going out to one of the outer islands, there isn't much to the city. also, venice is a very expensive city to be in in general. barcelona has the ocean as well as beautiful mountains, the gaudi architecture (sagrada familia, parc g眉ell, etc.) is beautiful, there are museums, theres shopping, and in general it's just a more lively city. the metro is cheap and easy to use. it's sunny and gorgeous. everybody is so friendly. i can't recommend barcelona enough!!!
