Last minute considerations?

About to depart for European (UK/France/Italy) trip...any suggestions before I leave. cash/credit, air /eurorail travel, foreign customs, documents, food, language, hotel, packing luggage. Things I would never think of or expect.

Thanks a bunch!Last minute considerations?
Make sure you call your bank and ask them to put remarks on your debit and credit cards stating that you will be traveling to these countries,so your cards are not closed and you are not stuck abroad with no money.

Good luck and have fun!

p.s. bring me something cool :-) (just kidding)Last minute considerations?
I think you will find the trip very easy. No need to worry about money. Just make sure that you stop by a currency exchange before you leave the first airport so you have some cash. You can use your ATM at most any machine in all of the countries mentioned. Your credit card is good too. When you get on the plane, set your watch to the time at your destination and start acting like it is that time right away. It will help later with your jet lag.Train tickets can usually be purchased the day of the trip at the station but if you are worried, you can book in advance online or stop by the day before to get your ticket. The only documents you will need is your passport. Pack light, is sucks carrying big luggage around, especially on the trains. Food is good everywhere, so make sure you try the local specialties to get a flavor of the place you are visiting. I would plan ahead on the hotels. Book em online so you can at least see pictures. It is getting to be a very busy time in Europe and many cities sell completely out, so know where you are staying otherwise you may have a hard time. Be polite and speak slowly. English is a second language for most everyone in Europe and it takes a moment for them to sometimes tune in and understand. Bring or buy a electric converter if you are taking things that need power. The one for UK is different than the one for the rest of Western Europe so you will need two. You will think the service at resturants is slow, but they never rush you to leave, so remember you need to ask for the check, they will not just bring it when you are finished. You do not need to tip more than 10%, less is even ok. Have a great trip. You hope you enjoy it.
