Is $5000 US Dollars Enough for 1 month in Europe this Summer?

This would include the airfaire over there (estimating $2000max). So around $3000 for everything else. My sister and I plan on staying in hostels and eating cheaply but want to do some extra things like museums and monuments too. (~$70 day budget)



Semi-plan: Fly into dublin (~4 days in ireland)

To London (~6 days in England)

To Amsterdam (~4 days in amsterdam)

To Paris (~7 days in France)

To Venice (7 days in Italy)

This is just a rough estimate. Is this crazy to think we'll have enough money????

Also, we've been going back and forth on wether its worth it to buy a eurorail pass since we can't use it in England or Holland or from Ireland to England and you have to pay to reserve a seat anyway. Also, I suggest getting a train pass, Thats what I'm going to do. I'm getting the two month unlimited one though, theres different kinds you can get try the pass where you only have 15 times to ride the train. I am landing in Ireland first as well (:

Being cheap is pretty easy while traveling, You can also get night trains and sleep on the train, save you some money on hostels.

I suggest getting an extra $1000 just in case, just realized you said for two people. but If you have your heart set on it, you can do anything.
It will be tight, but you can make it work. A little extra may not hurt because just walking into a restaurant off the street, you can not always tell how much the bill will be. Also, a splurge for a nicer restaurant a time or two would be fun.



On a side note, I have been to Venice, we went for two days, and I do not know if there was enough for me to do 7 days there. You may want to only do a day or two there and then go down to Rome, that is the best place I have been to so far.Is $5000 US Dollars Enough for 1 month in Europe this Summer?

HARD TO SAY, IT DEPENDS HOW YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY. I WENT TO LONDON ON A SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND CAMP AND I WAS THERE FOR 2 WEEKS. I SPENT JUST AROUND 100 BUCKS BECUASE HOUSING AND FOOD WERE PROVIDED. SO UNLESS YOU SHOPPING YOU SHOULD BE FINE WITH 5K
