For people who have backpacked across Europe.?

How much did it end up costing? If you have the time, list off the items which you paid for with an estimate of how much money you put into each, eg.

Food - $xx

Shelter - $xx

Eurorail passes - $xx

Etc.For people who have backpacked across Europe.?
It depends if you have backpacked before as you are more likely to overspend your first time - everyone does it! Also depends on the season.

If you have backpacked before, or are good at managing your money, 1500 GBP per month works well on a typical backpacker budget. This means staying in dorms, cooking at the hostel, cheap nights out, cheap/free tourist attractions etc. All part of the game!

In GB Pounds:

Food - 5-10 per day

Accommodation - 15-20 per day

Rail pass for 20 countries - One off 500

Entertainment - 15 per day

First timers allow more buffer, say 2000.

Also prepation for the trip - visa's, good pack, etc.For people who have backpacked across Europe.?
You need to tell us which countries you plan to go to and how long you will be traveling.
