I am backpacking through Portugal, Spain and France with my two younger brothers this July... I am 19, they are 17 and 15.
We want to do it for as cheap as possible. We don't mind roughing it (we usually travel to 3rd world countries in Asia.)
We want fun, excitement, and cheap. Lol, that's pretty much it.
Any ideas of good hostels, campsites, eurorail passes, attractions?
Anything will help. I am a good traveler, but Europe is a totally new thing for me!
Thanks!!
And any opinions, or comments are great!Backpacking Portugal, Spain, France. Ideas?
In each of those countries bus travel is cheaper than the train.
In Portugal lisbon and Porto are definitely worth seeing and from there you could go to Santiago de Compostuela in Spain. Also in Spain, Salamanca, Segovia, Seville and Granada are places to see as well as Madrid and Barcelona.
In France, Carcasonne and Perpignan, Aix en Provence, the Loire Valley and Brittany.
