Train from Singapore to Bangkok??

I'm thinking of going on a Southeast Asia adventure. I want to fly into Singapore and take the train to Bangkok covering a span of two weeks. I have a few questions:

1 Is the (long) ride very scenic?

2 I'm on a budget. Is there some sort of affordable eurorail-style pass that you can get that would work in Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand?

3 Are the trains safe?

Thanks!!!Train from Singapore to Bangkok??
Lol the first guy obviously know nothing about it. What an ***.

Okay recently, I travelled from Singapore to Phuket ( Do not worry, the train route is the same ). I bought a train ticket from Johor Malaysia, as the price ticket is 50% cheaper due to the currency differences.

1. Starting from Singapore.......Take a train to Woodland or Kranji, and board a public bus to the custom. From there, get into Malaysia. Johor ( Malaysia ) train station is pretty near the custom area, walking is a no problem. Well getting a train ticket from Johor is way cheaper than getting in Singapore itself. You have to buy a ticket to KL. It takes 7 hours to reach there. Scenery is not that good though.

2. Once you reach KL, buy a train ticket to Butterworth and a ticket from Butterworth to Sulat tani ( Thailand ). It should be a sleeper train, pretty good bunk. When you wake up, you probably reach Butterworth. Butterworth has nothing, but you can take a ferry to Penang for food and sightseeing. Why? because you have quite sometime before your next ride. So go Penang for some fun. It's pretty retro there. Once you think it's time to head back to Butterworth, get the ferry back. ( The ferry is just a simple transportation over there for just a tiny sum )

3. Board the train and way you go ( This will be the train to bkk ...long ride). Now the scenery here is pretty good. Countrysides and so on. After hours you reach the train custom inbetween thailand and malaysia. Once you done that, you have to board back the exact train. This time they will offer dinner, and after that they will make your bunk. Sleep you go. For you it's all the way to Hua Lam Pong station. So do not worry about missing your stop.

Hope that helps...cheers!
The Train from Singapore to Bangkok ?

Singapore is Island country , I don't think so has a trian from Singapore to Bangkok.

The previous guy who answered you is soooo wrong. He doesnt know anything but just wants to talk. dun u dislike such empty vessels.

I am Singaporean. There is train from Singapore to BKK. Train is safe but you still need to be careful.

I did a trip like yours once but went all the way to cambodia instead of stopping in BKK. I suggest taking the bus route. you'll see more things. bus tickets to Malaysia can be bgt at Golden mile complex.

You can buy connecting tickets which stop in malacca where u can do sightseeing, then to Kuala lumpur for clubbing n then to Penang for some sights and from penang (still malaysia) to hatyai (thailand) for some clubbing then from Hatyai to BKK. from BKK you can also take a bus to angkor wat (cambodia)

thats an excellent trip!!!
