Now we are buying Eurorail passes because we are going to see their family in Amsterdam, and visit France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland while there.
We were thinking of buying our airfare in January, 6 months ahead. I don't know if we should now, because I noticed flights to London are usually 800 dollars round trip. The thing is, could it be 600-700 if we booked 3 months in advance instead of 6? I'm not sure what would be better to do!Please help, Flight to LONDON help please please?
WOW!! 600 dollars London to Europe return?! that's a rip off!!
Go onto the websites of Ryanair and easyJet, they are Europe's two largest budget airline and both have large bases in London. They offer return flights from just 拢2. That's about $1.

While Madman is right that this is peak time, it does not mean that airlines automatically hike their prices, but what is does me is the price breaks are closer together, so the sooner you book, the more likely you are of getting the lowest price.
Booking 6 months ahead may not be necessary, but tickets will begin to be available from Jan 2010, and possible Dec 2009, so keep looking and go direct to airline websites or to a good comparison site, and check regularly. Please help, Flight to LONDON help please please?
I would say you can shop around now to get an idea of what airfare costs. Then my recommendation is to buy at least 2 months before you leave. If you look at airfare and find something now that is reasonable, go ahead and buy it.
The earlier you buy the tickets, in general, the cheaper they are. However, you will be flying into London during peak time therefore it will be expensive anyway.
fly on continental if u r flying from EWR
