Which countries in Europe are worth visiting and is the Eurorail really worth it ?Europe....?
I have gone to Europe a few times, and I have to say every place I went to was worth the visit... EXCEPT France. I hated it. The people truly were mean, and they treated us like dumb Americans (mind you, we are always very respectful to the people and to the culture we are visiting)... Plus, everything was like 4 times the price it should be :(
In Europe, I have been to Iceland, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, The Czech Republic, and The Netherlands... Oh and France....
I first went when I was in High school, then twice more when I was a young adult (before I had a kid). It is something I feel everyone should do before they have to many commitments that do not allow for taking the money and the time to go.
As for the Eurorail, the last time I went we spent 3 weeks floating around Europe... We took one flight within Europe, and the rest of the time we took trains. Even though we took trains, it still did not make scence to purchase a eurorail ticket, as we would not have used it enough...
By the way, there are books available on the subject...
Good luck and have fun when you go!
Each country I'm sure is worth visiting for different reasons. If you're in it for the history aspects, then each of the EU countries is worth visiting. I live in the Netherlands (Holland) and nearly everything in this country is based around art; the buildings, the roads, the landscape, etc.
Again, it just depends on what all you're wanting to get out of your trip.
As far as the tram goes, that too, depends on which part of the country you're in. For example, here in Holland you can drive to wherever you want to go, but you'll of course have to pay for parking, and nearly everything you do will involve walking. If you take the tram then you can just get on and get off and never have to worry about the daunting task of finding parking near where you want to go, pay for the parking, etc.
I live about 40-45 minutes from Amsterdam, but then of course if I want to drive, I'll have to deal with traffic, have to look for parking, then walk to wherever I'm going, trek back to the parking garage, pay (some places can get expensive!) and then drive home. Whereas if I use the tram, I get on, get off and don't have to worry about a thing until I'm ready to catch the train back home. Using the rails can eliminate many hassles!
I think it would be a shame to only limit yourself to the countries that you "think" or other people "think" would be interesting and worthwhile. If you have the opportunity to experience it all, then I'd definitely suggest doing so. As an American living here, I can definitely say that as soon as I think I have an opinion on one of the local countries, I'm soon shown that there was even more that I didn't know! Embrace the experience and visit as many places as you possibly can.
I hope you have a fantastic trip when you finally visit!Europe....?
Everywhere is worth it. I have visited 21 countries in Europe, and each had their own charm to it. Really depends on what you want to see. As for the Eurorail, it depends on how long you are traveling, and how long you are staying in each place. If you are going to move around a lot, then a Europass may be what you need, but check the places you want to visit and see how much money each train costs and then compare that to the prices in the europass.
A great book to get is anything by Rick Steves.

Frommers Guide to eurorail is really helpful too.
Enjoy it
And France is actually BEAUTIFUL and worth visiting. Him saying that just shows how arrogant people can be. Dont let one person ruin what you want to do or see. Some people can be rude while others have open arms and welcoming!
The most interesting countries in Europe are:
Germany (Berlin, Munich), Spane (The island Mallorca and Madrid), Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara) and Great Britain (London,Burmingham)
Completely you got to visit France,Italy and if you have time visit Bulgaria some summer.Great food and everything is really cheap!!!!!!!!
Istanbul....
