I'm choosing four countries to visit in Europe, which ones should I pick and why?

I am going to get the Eurorail Select Pass for 10 days for a two month period. Now I can only choose 4 countries, because I am only there for 1.5 months. I've been to France, but only to Paris, and been to Germany but want to explore it again.

Considering it's 1.5 months, that is approximately ten days a country. I am thinking:

France (South mainly), Germany, Italy and Spain.

But considering that Spain is really far left I was thinking of switching it with Greece. Any comments??

I am really into photography, love hiking, love meeting people and getting to know culture from the real deal..not a tour. I travel the way I want to, so i also need transportation to be accessible. Any ideas?I'm choosing four countries to visit in Europe, which ones should I pick and why?
You're actually considering a Eurail Select pass, not a "Eurorail." Eurail is the train system; the euro is the currency.

The Selectpass has to be for contiguous countries. I am not sure if Greece would count, although it is connected to Italy by ferry service. Where you go depends greatly on what you are interested in seeing. Germany is always high on my list because of its diversity. I wouldn't exactly call Spain "far left." I believe it is rather conservative in many ways. Unless you mean that it is too far to the west. Actually, it's south of France, and you could concentrate your explorations on northern Spain. Basque country in both France and Spain is wonderful, scenic and the people are so kind. Depending on where you land (I usually go into Frankfurt), I would visit northern Germany (see Leer, it's wonderful!), head into France and go west to Nantes, then south to Bordeaux then down into Bayonne and basque Country. See San Sebastian in Spain, Pamploma, and other northern Spanish cities. Then head back up into France and along the Mediterranean coast and thence into Italy. Visit northern Italy (don't miss Bologna and Ravenna!), then up into S眉d Tirol, including Bozen (Bolzano). Though it's not in your Selectpass (you'd have to buy a border-to-border ticket), cross the Alps through the Brenner Pass into Austria and on to Munich. The ride is breathtakingly beautiful, especially on the Austrian side of the mountains. And then finish up in Germany again.

Have a sensational time! I envy you such a nice, long vacation!
Switch Spain/Greece for Slovenia

Lots of hiking and stuning scenery to photograph.

And close to the countries you're already considering.I'm choosing four countries to visit in Europe, which ones should I pick and why?
Can I come %26lt;3
You should definitely do Italy--I'm a big fan of Italy. Nice in France and Barcelona in Spain are both wonderful as well. Switzerland, especially the Interlaken region is also well worth visiting.

I wouldn't bother with Greece for a couple of reasons--

1) It's only accessible via an overnight and not all that comfortable ferry trip from Italy or if by train you'll need to go through a couple of countries just to get there. Basically it takes a long time and could use up your pass.

2) Trains within Greece are very inexpensive, and not really worth using valuable rail days.

3) Personally I enjoyed other parts of Europe more.

JMHO.
