Backpacking for 3 weeks.....?

a friend and i are going to be backpacking for 3 weeks starting the last week in june. we have our airplane tickets and eurorail global pass.

we are starting off in ireland, then going to england, netherlands, belgium, germany, czech republic, austria, slovenia, greece, italy, spain, france then making it back to dublin ireland to come back home (in that order, and maybe swing by portugal)

is that a reasonable amount of time to hit all those countries with $1000 (642 euros)? we were originally going to go for a month but had concerns if we would have enough money. any info i might need to know?Backpacking for 3 weeks.....?
Me and my friend are doing exactly the same, but we got a month pass and a 22 day pass, so we're going for about 6-7 weeks. I think we've allowed around 拢1000-拢1200, which is probably up to 900euros or around there. That should be enough, it just depends how you want to live. You staying in hostels or are you camping?

Make sure you get guides, phrase books (as some countries might not speak English) and general travelling/backpacking guides. Are you going to any festivals? That's the focus of mine and my friend's trip - we're going to some heavy metal festivals.

Time wise that's long enough I reckon. But again, it depends how much time you wanna spend in each place. With the train pass, you can easily get from one place to another in a short amount of time. You may only be able to spend 2-4 days in each location.Backpacking for 3 weeks.....?
